In May 2006, Mr. Nixon opened his own law practice, William H. Nixon, Jr., Attorney at Law, at 53 Broad Street in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, practicing in criminal defense, personal injury and workers compensation. In 2009 he invested in the upper peninsula and moved to One Cool Blow Street, Building 200, in Charleston. The Buildings of One Cool Blow were a few of the first environmentally friendly commercial buildings on the Charleston Peninsula.
